Our Mission
Meals on wheels provides good, nutritional meals, daily contacts & other support services
that enable senior citizens to remain independent in their own homes as long as possible.

Services We Provide
 
  • Meals on Wheels Home Delivery
    Senior Citizens, age 60 and over, may qualify to have nutritionally
    balanced lunch delivered each weekday to their home. All meet
    RDA requirements and are prepared fresh daily. A small paid de-
    livery staff and core group of community volunteers deliver the
    meals each day.
  • Frail Elderly Assistance Program
    this program offers one time assistance to senior citizens that are
    financially incapable of providing necessary life enhancing and
    health related products. This might include medication, eye-
    glasses, Dentures, fans, and utility assistance.
  • Supplemental Nutrition Program
     Meals on Wheels clients who have been advised by their phy-
    sicians to enhance their diets with supplemental drinks may
    purchase these at significant discount. A current prescription
    is required and the supplement must be picked up at a meals
    on Wheels site. In some cases, delivery is available.
  • Home Repair Program
    Meals on Wheels recipients and other needy seniors may
    qualify for basic home repairs and adaptations to their resi-
    dence. This often includes wheel chair ramps, shower grab
    bars, floor & window repairs, widening of interior doors, &
    other repairs as approved.
  • Caregiver Support
    The Caregiver Support provides services to non-paid care-
    givers of Meals on Wheels clients such as family members.
    Some of the services available are respite care, counseling
    and support groups, house keeping, laundry services and
    supplemental complementary care programs.
